Ultimate Guide To Traffic Health

Traffic Health Configuration

View and manage your domain technical details, SSL certificates, and hosting settings in the Traffic Health Configurations tab.

Introduction

The technical aspects of your tracking domains play a crucial role in your campaign performance. The Configurations tab provides a centralized view of all your domain settings, SSL certificates, and hosting information.

Configurations Tab

The Configurations tab helps you understand the technical infrastructure behind your tracking domains and identify potential configuration issues.

This consolidated view helps you quickly identify any domains that need attention, such as domains with expiring SSL certificates.

Default Domains and Registration Information

At the top of this section, you'll also see your default tracking domain and default conversion domain along with easy access to edit these settings. Default domain is what will be used to generate Tracking Link or for Advertiser Postbacks if not specified otherwise.

This section also contains important registration information.

Heads Up! Accurate domain contact information is essential for smooth communication regarding domain renewals, configuration issues, and technical problems. Make sure to keep this information updated.

Domain Registration
This area shows the contact information being used for domain registration. The information is collected in relation to Administered Domain Services under the Everflow Service Terms (relevant for fully-managed domains).

Domain Managers
This section lists the primary technical contacts within your organization for domains that are Co-Managed/Self-Managed. These contacts should have access to the DNS settings of the domains you provide to Everflow (co-managed). This will help Everflow to take care of SSL certificates and hosting. You can manage this list to ensure Everflow knows who to contact about domain-related issues.

Pro Tip! Think about adding those contacts in the Advanced Alert Email list to inform them of the incident.

Domain Contacts

The Domain Contacts section (accessible at the top of Configurations tab) contains important registration information.

Domains

The Domains section displays all domains in your account with their technical details:

Column Description Name The domain name ID(s) Internal tracking and conversion IDs associated with the domain Assignable Domains that are assignable for tracking, conversion, or both can be used for new assignments. If a domain is set to not assignable, any previously generated links will remain fully functional Management Type Fully-managed, Co-Managed or Self-Managed. It also shows the entity that is responsible for the domain's configuration Hosting Type When hosting your domains with Everflow, you can choose between a Shared IP or a Dedicated IP. In both cases, Everflow manages the infrastructure and security.
• Shared IP: Hosts the domains of many Everflow clients.
• Dedicated IP (MPS): Hosts up to 50 domains for a single Everflow client.
SSL Certificate(s) SSL certificate information Expiration Domain expiration date Expires In Days remaining until domain expiration Custom Note Any notes added to the domain Created When the domain was created Modified When was the last time it was edited

IP Addresses

The section shows IP information for your domains and its hosting configurations:

Column Description ID Internal identifier for the IP IP Address The actual IP address IP Version IPv4 or IPv6 Domain(s) Hosted Which domains are using this IP Type Only dedicated IP (MPS) Created When the IP was assigned Modified When the IP configuration was last updated Only IPs managed by Everflow and dedicated to you are shown in this section. For self-managed domains on external proxies, you'll need to refer to your own hosting provider's documentation.

SSL Certificates

The SSL Certificates section provides detailed information about your security certificates:

Column Description ID Internal certificate identifier Common Name Primary domain the certificate was issued for Serial Number Unique certificate identifier Domain(s) Using Certificate All domains covered by this certificate Managed By Who manages the certificate (Everflow or Client) Issued by Certificate authority Issued Issue date Expiration Expiration date Expires In Days remaining until expiration Created When the SLL Certificate was assigned Modified When the SLL Certificate was last updated

Certificate management is critical for domain health. An expired SSL certificate can cause browser security warnings and prevent users from reaching your Offer pages, resulting in lost conversions.

Heads Up! Co-managed domains using Cloudflare can return two SSL, the one for Everflow servers and the one provided by Cloudflare. Everflow will reach out to you in case an action is needed to renew the certificate on the Everflow side. Certificates on your Cloudflare are your responsibility.
Quick Reminder The Configurations tab uses three domain management classifications that help clarify who is responsible for different aspects of domain maintenance: ➔ Fully Managed By Everflow: Domains that Everflow purchases and configures on your behalf. Everflow handles all aspects of these domains, including SSL certificates, DNS settings, and hosting.
➔ Co-Managed By Everflow and [Company Name]: Domains that you own but are configured on Everflow's infrastructure. You're responsible for domain registration and renewal, while Everflow manages the hosting and SSL certificates.
➔ Self-Managed By [Company Name]: Domains that you own and host on your own infrastructure. You're responsible for all aspects of these domains, and they connect to Everflow through an external proxy.

Configuration Tools

The Configurations tab includes several useful tools for managing your domains:

Filtering Options
Filter domains by status, management type, SSL certificate, and other parameters to quickly find specific domains. These filters can be accessed from the table headers or dedicated filter menus.

Custom Notes
Add notes to domains to keep track of important information or special configurations. Only your team members can view these notes and help maintain a record of domain-specific requirements or issues.

Default Domain Settings
Set default tracking and conversion domains that will be used for new Offers and Partners. This ensures consistency across your network and simplifies the setup process.

These tools help you efficiently manage your domain infrastructure and maintain optimal tracking performance across your network.

Bottom Line

The Configurations tab provides a comprehensive view of your tracking infrastructure's technical details. By regularly reviewing your domain configurations, you can ensure optimal tracking performance and quickly address issues before they impact your revenue.

Use these tools to maintain a healthy domain environment and make informed decisions about your tracking infrastructure.
