New Customer Lifecycle Tracking Infrastructure
Everflow has launched a foundational customer lifecycle tracking system with an immutable event log and state machine enforcement to ensure reliable historical account data.
Everflow has introduced a foundational customer lifecycle tracking system to replace inconsistent and manual tracking of customer states. This release establishes an immutable, append-only event log that records every Contract Type and Network Status change, ensuring reliable historical data for internal teams.
Previously, these states were captured unreliably, leading to gaps in history that required manual patches by Sales, Finance, and Ops. To resolve this, valid state transitions are now enforced, preventing invalid transitions.
This infrastructure enables Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Ops to accurately trace account progressions, such as transitions from Trial to Pilot, and access reliable data for reporting. Additionally, the release introduces a specific logging event for when credentials are sent, while restricting correction records to Ops and Engineering to maintain data integrity.
Key Capabilities
- Immutable event logging: Records every Contract Type and Network Status change in a new Customer Lifecycle History table.
- State machine enforcement: Rejects invalid state transitions to prevent errors.
- Account creation events: Fires both a Contract Type event and a Network Status transition event simultaneously when a new account is created.
- Account-level history tab: Displays a read-only Lifecycle History tab on individual Customer Details pages showing timestamps, event types, trigger types, employees, and notes.
- Master lifecycle table: Provides a centralized table under Admin > Customers with a customer filter for cross-account event lookups.
