Overview
Traffic Controls provide advanced filtering to allow or deny access to an Offer based on received variables, acting as a whitelist or blacklist for clicks.
How It Works:
- Similar to Postback Controls (which filter conversions), but applies to clicks.
- Can be configured for specific time windows and applied to:
- All or selected Offers
- All or selected Advertisers
- All of selected Partners
To Enable Traffic Controls Access:
Use Case Examples
Example 1: Routing Traffic Based on OS Version
- Offer A (owned by eCommerce Advertiser 1) only accepts users with newer OS versions.
- Offer B (owned by eCommerce Advertiser 2) accepts all OS versions.
- You can configure Traffic Control to:
- Allow users with newer OS versions for Offer A.
- Redirect users with older OS versions to Offer B (using Fail Traffic).
Example 2: Blocking Problematic Traffic Sources
- An Advertiser prohibits traffic from certain low-quality sources.
- You configure Traffic Control to:
- Block clicks from specific sources or device characteristics.
- Automatically deny Offer access to traffic from blacklisted sources.
