Creative Management & Compliance Guide
Learn what creatives you can use in Everflow, how to format them to prevent upload errors, and how to use them to optimize campaign performance.
Critical Compliance: Read Before Uploading
Most upload failures happen because of simple formatting errors. Follow these three rules to ensure your files work immediately.
1. The "Lowercase" Rule (Case Sensitive)
- The Rule: File extensions MUST be lowercase.
- Bad: banner_ad.JPG or video.MP4
- Good: banner_ad.jpg or video.mp4
- Why? Our system is case-sensitive. .JPG is treated as an unknown file type.
2. No Special Characters
- The Rule: Filenames (even those inside a ZIP file) must use letters, numbers, underscores (_), or hyphens (-).
- Bad: summer sale banner!.jpg or ad(1).png
- Good: summer_sale_banner.jpg
3. HTML Encoding (UTF-8 Only)
- The Rule: HTML documents must be saved in UTF-8 format.
- Constraint: UTF-16 is not supported. Emojis are not allowed in the code (they will break the display).

Advanced Creatives: HTML vs. Email
While these look similar, they function differently in the platform.
The Difference
- HTML Creatives: Standard banners or landing page code.
- Email Creatives: Require two extra mandatory fields: Subject Line and From Address. This allows Partners to use your template directly in their mailing systems.
The "Build from ZIP" Tool
Stop manually pasting code. When you upload a .zip file for an HTML/Email creative, Everflow automatically:
- Extracts the .html file and pastes the code into the editor.
- Hosts all images/assets found in the folder.
- Rewrites the image paths in the code to point to our CDN.
Optimization Strategy: Custom Landing Pages
Did you know you can change where a user lands based on the specific image they clicked?
The Strategy:
- You have two creatives: Red_Banner.jpg and Blue_Banner.jpg.
- You want Red_Banner clicks to go to /red-landing-page and Blue_Banner to go to /blue-landing-page.
The Setup:
Reporting: Which Creative Performs Best?
Don't just guess which banner works. Measure it.
Result: You can now see exactly which creative asset generates the most revenue, allowing you to pause the underperformers.
