Overview
Impression Tracking allows you to measure when ads are viewed by users, even without clicks. This provides valuable visibility into campaign performance beyond click-based metrics.
What is Impression Tracking?
Impression tracking records when an ad is viewed by a user, allowing you to analyze impression data in Everflow. Unlike click tracking, impression tracking works automatically when an ad (creative) loads, without requiring any user interaction.
To track impressions from a traffic source, they must send impression traffic through an Everflow impression tracking link or pixel.
Key Benefits of Impression Tracking
- Measure true ad exposure (how many times your ad was actually seen)
- Calculate accurate view-through conversion rates
- Compare impression-to-click ratios to optimize creative performance
- Provide Advertisers with complete campaign performance data

Reporting and Analytics
After implementing impression tracking, you can:

- Calculate key metrics like CTR (Click-Through Rate)
- Analyze impression-to-conversion ratios
- Provide advertisers with comprehensive visibility into their campaign performance
Remember, the main advantage of impression tracking is that it works automatically when an ad loads—no click is necessary for the impression to be counted.
