Next Steps

After completing this integration, you can efficiently manage email compliance across all your marketing campaigns while providing transparent access to suppression lists for your partners.

Good to Know

Your ONID is unique to a single advertiser and cannot be shared for a partner to use. Only one Optizmo integration is allowed per account. Optizmo segments suppression data at the advertiser level, the same way Everflow does. Lists created under one advertiser apply only to that advertiser's offers. Suppression lists are not limited to email addresses. They can also contain other data such as phone numbers.

Linking an Existing Suppression File

In addition to creating a new list, you can link to a suppression file that already exists in another advertiser's Optizmo account. This is useful when you receive a Mailer Access Key from an advertiser who also uses Optizmo and want to apply their suppression file to your offers.

On the advertiser's Optizmo tab, click Log Me In to establish the connection between Everflow and Optizmo (the accounts are matched by ONID). Click Create a List and enter the Mailer Access Key you received from the advertiser to create a Linked List. Select that Linked List from the Email tab of any offer under the same advertiser to apply it.

Troubleshooting: "Forbidden" or Permission Error After Connecting

If the connection appears successful but you see a "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access this resource" error when navigating the Optizmo integration, the cause is usually blocked third-party cookies in your browser. Optizmo sets an authentication cookie when Everflow makes the initial connection, and that cookie is required for each subsequent request.

To resolve this in Google Chrome:

Open Settings > Privacy and Security and make sure third-party cookies are allowed. If they are set to "Block third-party cookies," this is likely the cause. If you prefer not to allow all third-party cookies, add the Everflow and Optizmo domains as exceptions. Using the [*.] prefix before a domain applies the exception to all of its subdomains.
