How To Create & Manage Coupon Codes

Learn how to create, manage, and track coupon codes in Everflow for accurate Partner attribution and performance tracking, with support for both individual and bulk operations.

Overview

Coupon codes in Everflow serve as a powerful attribution tool, allowing you to track Partner performance through easy-to-share codes.

Unlike traditional e-commerce discount codes, Everflow's coupon codes are specifically designed for tracking and attributing conversions to the right Partners.

This guide will show you how to implement and manage coupon codes effectively.

Key Terms Key terms related to coupon code management and tracking. ➔ Coupon Code: A unique identifier used for Partner attribution (not a discount code, unless you have previously created a discount code on your side).
➔ Tracking URL: Automatically generated URL containing the coupon code.
➔ Attribution: Process of assigning conversions to specific Partners.
➔ Bulk Operations: Tools for managing multiple coupon codes simultaneously.
➔ Default Landing Page: The final URL where users are redirected.
➔ Tracking Domain: Custom domain used for coupon code URLs.

Understanding Coupon Codes

What They Are
  • Attribution tools for tracking Partner performance
  • Unique identifiers for each Partner-Offer combination
  • Generate trackable, user-friendly URLs
What They're Not
  • Not store discount codes / NOT e-commerce discount codes
  • Don't automatically apply discounts
  • Not integrated with e-commerce platforms
  • Not for promotional pricing
Everflow coupon codes are for tracking purposes only - the actual discount functionality must be set up in your e-commerce platform. For example: Create your discount codes in your platform (e.g., Shopify's Discounts page) Set up the discount rules and amounts Then either: Create matching tracking codes in Everflow individually Or bulk upload them to assign to your Partners
