For Leadership: Reporting & Strategic Insights

This guide teaches executives and decision-makers how to leverage dashboards and automated reporting to get a clear, high-level view of program ROI and strategic insights.

Who This Guide is For

This guide is designed for Executives, Founders, and Strategic Leaders. Your time is valuable, and you need a clear, high-level understanding of your partner program's performance and return on investment (ROI). This playbook will show you how to customize your dashboard for a quick snapshot, dive into key reports for deeper insights, and automate reporting to save time.

Key Terms When reviewing performance, these are the critical metrics that tell the story of your program's health and profitability. Profit: The most important metric. In Everflow, this is calculated as Revenue - Payout. It's the bottom-line value your program is generating.
Conversion Rate (CVR): The percentage of clicks that result in a desired action (a conversion). A high CVR is a strong indicator of quality traffic and effective campaigns.
Earnings Per Click (EPC): A quick way to measure the value of traffic. It tells you the average amount earned every time a partner's tracking link is clicked.
Dashboard Widget: A customizable block of data on your main dashboard that displays a specific report or key performance indicator (KPI).
Scheduled Report: A custom report that you can configure to be automatically emailed to you or your team on a recurring schedule (e.g., daily, weekly, or monthly).
1 Creating Your Mission Control (The Dashboard) Your dashboard is the first thing you see when you log in. For a leader, it should function as a "mission control" panel, providing an immediate, at-a-glance summary of the program's health. Let's customize it to show the metrics that matter most. 1.1 Customizing Your Dashboard View The default dashboard is helpful, but a personalized view is far more powerful. You can add, remove, and rearrange widgets to create a layout that answers your specific business questions. From the Dashboard, click the Edit Dashboard button in the top right corner. To remove a widget you don't need, click the trash can icon. To add a new one, click [+ Add Widget] and select from the available options. You can drag and drop widgets to arrange them in your preferred order. Click Save when you're done. For a full guide on all dashboard options, see: this article 1.2 Key Widgets for Leadership To get the most value, we recommend adding these three widgets to your dashboard: Performance Trends Graph: This provides an essential visual of your program's growth. Configure it to display Profit over the last 30 or 90 days to instantly see your performance trajectory. KPIs: This widget allows you to track specific, single metrics. Create three separate KPI widgets for Total Profit, Total Revenue, and Total Payout for the current month. This gives you a real-time financial snapshot. Top Partners: This widget shows you a ranked list of your most valuable partners. Configure it to rank them by Profit to immediately identify who is driving the most bottom-line value for your business. For a list of all available widgets and what they do, see: this article 2 Gaining Deeper Insights with Reporting When your dashboard prompts a question (e.g., "Why did profit dip last week?"), the Performance Report is where you go to find the answer. This is your primary tool for analyzing trends and drilling into your data. 2.1 An Introduction to the Performance Report This report is the most versatile and powerful in Everflow. It allows you to slice and dice your data across dozens of metrics and dimensions. Navigate to Reporting > Performance. The first thing you'll see is a summary of all activity for the current day. The most important columns for a strategic overview are Conversions, Payout, Revenue, and Profit. The summary row at the bottom gives you the grand total for the selected time period. For an overview of all available reports, see: this article 2.2 Analyzing Trends Over Time The real power of the Performance Report comes from analyzing data over different time frames. Use the Date Range filter at the top of the report. To see last month's performance, select Last Month. To compare quarter-over-quarter, you can select a Custom Range. Pro-Tip: Use the "Group By" dropdown and select Day or Month. This will show you a trended view, making it easy to spot patterns, seasonal changes, or the impact of new campaign launches. To learn about all filtering and reporting options, see: this article 3 Automating Your Reporting Workflow You don't have time to pull the same reports every week. By saving and scheduling your key reports, you can ensure you and your team get consistent insights delivered directly to your inbox. 3.1 Saving Your Custom Reports Once you have filtered a report to show exactly what you need (for example, a monthly profit summary grouped by Partner), you can save that specific view for easy, one-click access later. Set up your desired filters, columns, and groupings on the Performance Report. Click the Options button in the top right corner. Select Save Report. Give your report a memorable name (e.g., "Monthly Partner Profitability Summary") and click Save. You can now access this report anytime from the Saved Reports menu. For more details on managing saved reports, see: this article 3.2 Scheduling Reports to Your Inbox This is the ultimate time-saver. You can take any saved report and have it automatically emailed to you on a recurring schedule. Navigate to Reporting > Saved Reports. Find the report you want to schedule and click the "Schedule" icon (it looks like a calendar). Set the Frequency (e.g., Weekly, Monthly), the Day, and the Time you want the report to be sent. Enter the email addresses of the recipients. Click Save. That report will now arrive automatically, keeping you informed without needing to log in.
