Domain Registration and Setup Process

Learn how to properly register domains for your Everflow account, including verification steps, contact management, and registration transfers.

Overview

All domains purchased by Everflow on behalf of customers must be registered properly to avoid downtime. Proper registration ensures your domains remain active and accessible for tracking your campaigns.

You can view your current tracking and conversion domains in Traffic Health:

Quick overview: Navigate to Traffic Health → Overview tab to see all monitored domains and any incidents‍ Detailed view: Navigate to Traffic Health → Configurations tab for complete domain details, hosting information, and SSL certificates
Heads Up! Keep your contact information current. If an employee leaves and their email was used for domain registration, this could compromise domain control and lead to downtime.
Domain registration information was provided during your account setup. Contact Customer Support for any updates to this information.
Privacy protection is active for all domains. The information provided is not shared publicly but is required by Squarespace to manage and purchase domains on your behalf.

Domain Verification Process

1 Domain Verification When Everflow purchases a domain for you, you'll receive a verification email that must be responded to within 15 days.

What to look for: From: no-reply@squarespace.com Subject: [Action Required] Verify your Squarespace domain contact Action required: Click the "Verify Now" link to complete verification Heads Up! If you don't verify within 15 days, the domain will be suspended and stop working. Traffic Health will show this as an incident and send reminder notifications if you have alerts configured.
2 Monitoring Domain Status After verification, you can monitor your domain health through Traffic Health:

In the Overview tab: Domain status indicators (UP/DOWN) Recent incidents or issues Domain health timeline over the past 90 days In the Configurations tab: Complete domain details including management type SSL certificate status and expiration dates Hosting information and IP assignments Custom notes and domain contacts

Navigate to Traffic HealthConfigurationsDomain Contacts Click the Request Changes button in the Domain Registration Contact Information section Use the Customer Support chat that opens to provide your new information Wait for Customer Support to process your request and initiate the change Monitor your email for notifications about the registration change process

Transfer Process

Once Customer Support initiates the change, the process varies depending on what information is being updated:

Address changes only: You'll receive a registration change notification in your domain registration email inbox.

Email address changes: You'll need to accept the transfer in both the old and new email addresses.

Accepting Registration Changes

Look for this email:

  • From: no-reply@squarespace.com
  • Subject: "Confirm changes to your Squarespace Domain"
Click Review Changes (NOT "Account Dashboard") Review the proposed changes Accept the changes to complete the transfer
Heads Up! Clicking "Account Dashboard" will redirect to Squarespace login, which you don't have access to. Always use the "Review Changes" link.

Transfer Completion

When the transfer is completed successfully, you'll receive a confirmation email:

  • From: no-reply@squarespace.com
  • Subject: "Your domain contact information was updated"
Always use a shared company email (like domains@yourcompany.com) rather than individual employee emails and update email addresses before employees leave the company
