Overview

Google Ads Cost integration connects Everflow to your Google Ads accounts to import key cost data into Everflow. By syncing Google Ads Cost information directly into Everflow reports, you’ll be able to view campaign profitability holistically in one place and gain visibility not only into revenue but also spend across your advertising efforts.

Note: To integrate Google Ads Cost, you first need to connect Google Ads integration. Learn how to connect this integration through our Step-By-Step Guide. Once Google Ads integration is connected and you’ve logged into your Google account, you don't have to repeat the process the second time for Google Ads Cost.

Note: Media cost is not pulled into Everflow from Google Ads until the following day.

A Step-By-Step Guide

Step 1: Connect Integration

  • Navigate to Integrations. Click on the Media Buying tab, and then click [Connect Integration] for Google Ads Cost to proceed with Configuration.

As previously noted, you need to connect your Google Ads Integration first using our comprehensive Step-By-Step Guide. Otherwise, the [Connect Integration] button for Google Ads Cost will be inactive.

Step 2: Configuration

  • After clicking [Connect Integration] for Google Ads Cost, you will be prompted to complete the Add Google Ads Cost Configuration form.

There are three steps to complete your Add Google Ads Cost Configuration form:

  1. General

  2. Account Settings

  3. Campaign Settings

General

  • Enter a name for your log, your Google Ads Manager ID, and Google Ads Customer ID.

  • Click [Next] to continue to Account Settings.

Account Settings

  • Select the Start Date from which Google Ads cost will be included in your Everflow account.

  • Manage Account Default Settings by choosing the Offer, Event, and Default Partner you want to add.

  • Click [Next] to continue to Campaign Settings.

Campaign Settings

This optional section allows you to customize your campaign-level setups inside of Google Ads Cost.

Note: If enabled, Campaign Mapping takes priority over your default account settings. Thus, you can override default settings and set up multiple exclusions if needed.

  • To set up necessary exclusions, first, enable Campaign Mapping using the toggle.

  • Once enabled, the drop-down menu will appear. From there, you can select your Google Ads Campaign and choose whether you want to exclude it from cost reporting. Plus, you can select your Offer, Event, and Partners.

Note: All your Google Ads Costs are tracked in Everflow by default unless manually excluded during this step.

  • Once complete, click [Save].

Managing Google Ads Cost

To access your previous Logs, review/manage Costs, or add more Configurations, click [Configure] for Google Ads Cost. You can find this button by navigating to Control Center - Integration > Media Buying.

  • Click directly on the Name or the New Tab button beside it to open an editor window and modify the Cost.

Note: You can always add a new Configuration using Add Google Ads Cost Configuration form.

  • To confirm and preserve any changes made while editing, be sure to select [Save]. If you wish to close without keeping the edits, select [Cancel] instead.

Google Ads Cost in Reports

You can pull your cost data alongside other metrics anytime using Reporting.

  • Navigate to Reporting - Offer/Partner/Advertiser.

  • Under the Summary section, you will find several metrics, including MEDIA BUYING COST.

If the MEDIA BUYING COST metric is not visible, verify that it is enabled:

  • Navigate to Table Actions and use the drop-down menu to select Columns Customization.

  • Find Media Buying Cost in the list and turn its toggle switch on to display the metric.
