What is the Default Marketplace Offer?

The way that Everflow is traditionally setup, an Advertiser creates multiple Offers. Each Offer could relate to a specific product(s) or campaign. This works for most Publishers but some Publishers on the Marketplace require a single, default, sitewide Offer. And this is where the Default Marketplace Offer (DMO) comes in.

Requirements

  • The Offer’s Default Landing Page is the Brand’s homepage URL, not a specific product URL

  • The Visibility of the DMO needs to be Public at all times

  • The Status of the DMO needs to be Active at all times

  • The DMO needs to be created with the correct Visibility & Status settings before the connection with the Publisher is made

  • The Payout for this Offer is sitewide, and not limited to certain products or conversion events on the Brand’s website/app

  • Only one offer can be selected as the DMO at any given moment

Note

Not all of these requirements are validated by Everflow. Advertisers are suggested to follow them as required by specific Publishers they work with, in order for the Publishers to promote this Offer without any issues. Some Publisher may want the opposite and require a DMO to a specific product or category. In this case the Publisher should reach out to the Advertiser with their needs.

Who Creates This Offer?

The Offer is created by the Advertiser on the Everflow Platform.

🛍️ As An Advertiser On The Marketplace

The Default Marketplace Offer feature provides a method for Advertisers to select one of their Offers as the "default" Offer for their Publishers on the Marketplace.

How To Select Your Default Marketplace Offer

Create An Offer That Meets the DMO Requirements

Before you can select your DMO, you need to make sure you have an Offer that meets the DMO requirements outlined above.

Select An Offer As Your DMO

Take a look at the gif below on how to select an Offer as your Default Marketplace Offer (DMO) in your Marketplace profile under Edit > General tab > Additional Option > Marketplace Default Offer:

How It's Displayed

The DMO is displayed as a tracking link on your Marketplace Details Cards. Most Publishers that need to work with the DMO will be doing it via the API, where they can receive more information about this Offer.

Things You Should Know About The DMO

  • If as an Advertiser, you want to work with a Publisher that requires a DMO, the Marketplace Connection won't be made until you select an Offer as your DMO, but you'll be able to invite the Publisher to work with you

  • Not all Marketplace Publishers require a DMO

  • The DMO is not visible to any Publisher until the Advertiser and Publisher are connected on the Marketplace

  • The Advertiser can switch between DMO's at any given moment, meaning you can change which Offer is selected as the DMO from a list of all your Offers that meet the DMO requirements

  • If you, as an Advertiser aren't working with any Marketplace Partners that requires a DMO, then you don't need to select an Offer as a DMO or worry about the requirements

📰 As A Publisher On The Marketplace

As a Publisher, if you'd like to work with a single Offer from an Advertiser that meets the requirements outlined above, we've created the Default Marketplace Offer.

How to Require A DMO From An Advertiser

Understanding the Advertiser Side

By default, most Advertisers are not going to have a DMO. When you connect with a new Advertiser on the Marketplace, whether they sent the invitation or you did, you're able to add the DMO as a requirement for the Advertiser to meet before the connection is made.

Another way to look at it is that when you and the Advertiser want to connect on the Marketplace, and you've turned on the requirement for a Default Marketplace Offer, Everflow will automatically let the Advertiser know they need to create a DMO before the connection will be successfully made.

Note: If the Advertiser is not clear about the requirements of DMO or is taking too long in order to create a DMO, it will add friction to working together. We suggest you reach out to the Advertiser in order to facilitate the creation process.

Enabling the DMO Setting

If you haven't marked the DMO setting as enabled during your initial Marketplace setup, you can edit your Marketplace details and toggle on the DMO setting as shown below:

Affect On Your Currently Connected Advertisers

If you currently work with Advertisers and the DMO setting was toggled OFF when the connections were made, if you turn on the DMO setting as of this moment, the DMO requirement will only apply to new Advertisers you connect with.

Note

If you'd like to have Advertisers you connected with before turning ON the DMO setting to select their DMO, we suggest reaching out to them via their contact information in their Marketplace Card.
