Managing Partner Platform Access In The Marketplace

Learn how to manage and request Partner Platform access for your Marketplace team members to streamline logging into connected Advertiser accounts.

Overview

In the past, when you connected with an Advertiser on the Marketplace, only the user who made the connection received a login for that Advertiser's Partner Platform. Other team members could not log in without asking the Advertiser directly.

Now, you can manage access for your entire team directly from the Marketplace. Administrators have full control over who gets access, while Marketplace Managers can easily request the logins they need.

How Access Works

Role
Partner Platform Access Permissions
Administrator
Can turn on automatic account creation, create their own accounts instantly, review requests, and grant or deny access for any team member.
Marketplace Manager
Can request access for specific connections and enter the Partner Platform once approved by an Administrator.

Turn On Automatic Account Creation (Administrators)

Administrators can set up the platform to handle account creation automatically.

Go to your Company settings and look for the Automatically create Partner Platform user accounts setting. You can set this to None, Administrators, or All.

Important
This setting only applies to new connections and newly added users. Changing this setting does not create accounts for existing connections.

Create Your Own Account (Administrators)

If you do not have an account for an active connection yet, you can create one instantly.

1
Manage Connections
Navigate to your Manage Connections section.
2
Create User Account
Click "Create User Account" on the connection row. You will see a success message stating that the Partner Platform user account was successfully created.
3
Enter Partner Platform
The row will update to "Enter Partner Platform". Click this to jump straight into the Advertiser's platform.Manage Connections row with the Enter Partner Platform button

Request Access (Marketplace Managers)

If you are a Marketplace Manager, you can request access to specific platforms.

1
Request Access
Go to Manage Connections and click "Request Access" on the desired active connection row.Request Access buttons on Manage Connections rows
2
Send Request
A dialog will open listing the Administrators who can approve your request. Click to confirm, and the button will update to a disabled "Request Sent" status.Request Access dialog listing the Administrators who can approve
3
Wait For Approval
If approved, you will receive an email letting you know you can enter the platform. If denied, the row updates to a disabled "Request Denied" button, and you will need to contact your Administrator.

Review Requests And Grant Or Deny Access (Administrators)

Administrators have a dedicated space to manage all user access.

When a Marketplace Manager requests access, you can click the "Review Requests" link in the notification email. This opens the Partner Platform User Accounts tab, filtered to show pending requests.

From here, you can click Grant Access or Deny Access on individual rows. A confirmation dialog appears before anything changes.

Denying works the same way. The dialog tells you the user will no longer be able to log in to that Partner Platform or receive its notifications.

You can also select multiple rows and use the Actions menu to approve or deny requests in bulk.

Alternatively, you can open this view at any time from Manage Connections by clicking the Manage Partner Platform Access row menu option for a specific Advertiser.

Access Statuses

When viewing user access, you will see one of the following statuses.

Status
What It Means
Granted
The user has access and can enter the Partner Platform.
Requested
The user has asked for access and is waiting for an Administrator to approve.
Denied
An Administrator rejected the request, or the Advertiser turned off the account on their side.
No Access
The user does not have an account and has not requested one yet.
Unavailable
The user already has an account on another Partner ID belonging to the same Advertiser.

See Your Access In My Account

Every user can check their own access under Account > My Account. The Partner Platform Access card lists each Advertiser whose Partner Platform you can log into, your last login, and an Enter Partner Platform button.

Emails You May Receive

The system keeps everyone informed automatically.

Create Partner Platform User Account: Sent to Administrators when a new connection becomes active, if accounts are not set to create automatically.
New Partner Platform Access Request: Sent to all Administrators when a Marketplace Manager requests access.
Log Into [Advertiser]'s Partner Platform: Sent to the user when their access is approved, containing an "Enter Partner Platform" link.
Access Request Denied: Sent to the user if their access is rejected, advising them to contact an Administrator.

Good To Know

Updating your automatic account creation settings will not change existing connections.
Promoting a Marketplace Manager to an Administrator does not automatically create accounts for them.
The Advertiser has final say. If they turn an account off on their side, the user will show as Denied in the Marketplace and cannot enter.
The core account that your connection runs on is protected and cannot be denied or deactivated.
If you deactivate a Marketplace user, they will lose their Partner Platform access. If you reactivate them, they will only get back the access they were previously granted.
If an Administrator grants or removes access that nobody asked for, no email notification is sent.
